Jalal-Abad State University – JaSU was founded on April 2, 1993 in the city of Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan on the basis of already functioning educational institutions. This is a public institution designed to provide higher education in following fields: Medical, Electronics, Energy, Construction, Agro-industrial complex. Approximately 10000 students study at JaSU from countries such as Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, the United States, and Uzbekistan. The medical faculty of Jalal-Abad State University is affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Science Education, Kyrgyz Republic. International School of Medicine (ISM) was established in 2003, and as per the Kyrgyz Republic’s Government resolution was made part of the International University of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) was established in the year 1939 and now is considered as one of the oldest medical universities of Kyrgyzstan. The initial batch of the university was comprised of 200 students. Presently, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy is believed to be the pioneer medical academy in comparison to all the medical universities present in Kyrgyzstan. It has been observed and calculated that at present there are more than 540 teachers teaching in this university and a total number of 4,000 students studying MBBS in KSMA. The vast majority of foreign students are from Pakistan who are pursuing MBBS in Bishkek. Adam university is a higher educational institute, established in 1994 in Bishkek city the capital of Kyrgyz Republic to provide education, research and training on Business, Finance, Economics, Tourism and medicine for the transition economies of the central Asia. The mission is to promote a society in the development of market and social institutions through the training of competent personnel in different fields. The medical school is the structural division of Adam university officially approved by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of education of Kyrgyz Republic.

Asian Medical Institute has 1800 students from more than 10 countries, including Pakistan, Russia, Nepal, Germany, Kazakhstan and Nigeria. The medium of instruction at the institute is the English language and the length of study for an MD is 6 as well as 5 years. The college is recognized by Medical Council of Pakistan and WHO. The college has a separate hostel for Pakistani students and separate hostel of boys and girls. Halal food is served to the students at the hostel mess. Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University is considered as one of the most prominent universities in Kyrgyzstan for higher studies. The university is well known to provide education in 45 different specialties and in 3 different areas. Based on the Treaty “On friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance” among the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation the university was established in the city of Bishkek (formerly Frunze) in 1993.
